EL TULE

RLF bought new chairs for the church of San José in El Tule, a community of Curarén.  This poor community built a new church (pictured) to replace their old one that was too small.  The people are always so appreciative of every bit of help we can give them.  The woman sitting is Tomasa Guzmán, waiting for Mass to begin; she is holding some firecrackers that the community will set off in honor the priest’s visit to the community.
